Cat 5 | Brandon Parrish Podiums! Louisville, Ky Chapter
With not even a year of bicycle "riding" under his belt, the Team Velocause Louisville, Ky Chapter featured Brandon Parrish in the Cat 5 class in his second bicycle race ever. Building on one race in his bicycle career where he finished 6th out of 44 the weekend before, Brandon found himself in great position for the field sprint at the Lexington, Ky Circuit Race Sunday March 25th.
In lap 4 of 10 the leader checked out and was never to be seen again. For the remaining laps Brandon kept a top 5 position and as the peloton approached the finish line climb of the 1.8 mile circuit, Brandon attacked from 3rd position to finish 2nd in the field sprint, 3rd overall.
Masters 30 + Kung Wins! And Zugel On The Podium Again!
Chris Zugel and Chai Kung were Team Velocause's only two entries this week in the 30 plus field. However, with their few numbers they managed to still put on a good showing of strength for Velocause. Chris made many valiant attacks to get in a break, and in between Chai covered the front. Without any large teams in the peloton it ended up in a field sprint. On the last lap Chris and Chai were in good position. Chai was sitting second wheel with Chris right behind him. Going into the last corner there was an attack on the inside and outside that caused a bit of confusion. Chai jumped on the inside and Chris went outside. After clearing the corner the mass sprint started. Chai ended up 1st with Chris being nipped at the line for 3rd.

Randy Scoville raced in the 50+ division and got 3rd place.
